The Front Range Off-Road Fabrication Skidplate, can only be installed once the Crossmember is installed. It bolts onto the existing holes in the transfer case, where the factory rubber mount was originally bolted. They are available for dual transfer case setups, though can be cut down to use in a single case setup. They are manufactured from a single piece of 1/4" steel plate for extreme use. Once in place the Skidplate protects the aluminum transfer case from nasty rocks.
